you can do 
        echo $?

immediately after the command, and it will tell you '0' if it's
success, '10' or '1' if it's failed.


The following is what I want you to do.


1.  since your log looks like it was a successful run, please repeat
until you have a log of an error case, and send it.

2.  Make sure it's not something else causing the problem. Are you
sure there is no flakey router / proxy ? Is apt-listbugs the only
thing that fails intermittently? For example, are you browsing web
sites fine?
