I thought pdftricks was moved to texlive-pstricks in the recent reorganization. If not, I think this would be the ideal place for pdftricks. Benjamin: Note that you can instll most TeX Live packages alongside your existing teTeX installation. For example texlive-pstricks would give you a newer version of pstricks than what's available in teTeX. In order to make full use of this you would have to change TEXMFDIST, though. Ask for details if you are interested. Maybe it would make sense the reverse the paths in TEXMFDIST? cheerio ralf
