Package: cdbs Version: 0.4.46 Severity: wishlist Hello,
I was working on a package that requires updating config.guess/config.sub, so it needs to add autotools-dev to the control files. But, i use the option mergeWithUpstream of svn-buildpackage, which permit to store the tarball in another svn directory. At build time, the tarball is uncompressed in a new dir, the debian directory is copied there, and dpkg-buildpackage is called. Which means in most case, cdbs doesn't see the difference. BUT when updating debian/control, i call the command from the versionned root directory (trunk/), where the upstream tarball is not uncompressed. So cdbs doesn't find config.guess/config.sub and don't add autotools-dev. It should be great to be able to use the same command as tarball.mk but only for the update of control... and it will solve this issue.
