Hi, running
update-rc.d -f libnss-ldap remove apt-get --reinstall install libnss-ldap fixed the problem on my sid box. However the libnss-ldap package has migrated to testing, where the above fix does not solve the problem because the /lib/init/rw directory does not exist. I think libnss-ldap should depend on a more recent version of initscripts to have the /lib/init/rw functionality?
