One can argue for lpr and lpd. I mean, there is also lprm and lpq and lpc and lpf. All in package lpr. But then there is the /etc/hosts.lpd and /etc/printcap. Both used by lpd, in lpr package. The one place I agree that may be changed is to use /etc/cron.weekly/lpr to lpd. Package name should remain lpr as that is what people would look for historically.
