Package: id3v2 Version: 0.1.11-1 Severity: normal
id3v2 --help gives: ... You can set the value for any id3v2 frame by using '--' and then frame id For example: id3v2 --TIT3 "Monkey!" file.mp3 This does not seem to work for unsynchronized lyrics (USLT), if the text contains ":" characters. I suppose that when using id3v2 --USLT "string", it is assumed that string has the format "descr:text:LNG", where LNG is probably a 3 character language description such as ENG. (I am just guessing, this is not documented in the man page.) In this case it is not clear how to add text containing a ":" character. Maybe it can be escaped somehow, but again I do not know how. \: does not work. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.8-3-686 Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages id3v2 depends on: ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-22sarge4 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libgcc1 1:3.4.3-13sarge1 GCC support library ii libid3-3.8.3 3.8.3-4.1 Library for manipulating ID3v1 and ii libstdc++5 1:3.3.5-13 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.2-4.sarge.2 compression library - runtime -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
