Package: fbset Version: 2.1-19 Severity: normal When I upgraded from sarge to etch, I got a mail:
"fbset needs framebuffer devices in order to function correctly. These have been created as /dev/fb[0-7], with the appropriate permissions." I think this note is rather pointless, and there is certainly no reason to mail it to me. I know policy requires packages to notify the user when creating device nodes, but footnote #60 suggests that simply echoing the message is enough.
