Package: gv Version: 1:3.6.1-15 Severity: normal
I have a file named /tmp/thecall.pdf. If I run gv /tmp/thecall.pdf then type + to zoom in, I get an error dialog box: Error: /invalidfileaccess in --file-- Operand stack: (/tmp/thecall.pdf) (r) Execution stack: %interp_exit .runexec2 --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- 2 %stopped_push --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- false 1 %stopped_push 1 3 %oparray_pop 1 3 %oparray_pop 1 3 %oparray_pop 1 3 %oparray_pop .runexec2 --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- 2 %stopped_push --nostringval-- Dictionary stack: --dict:1122/1686(ro)(G)-- --dict:0/20(G)-- --dict:75/200(L)-- --dict:105/127(ro)(G)-- --dict:253/347(G)-- Current allocation mode is local GPL Ghostscript 8.54: Unrecoverable error, exit code 1 The screen is blank from then on; the only way to recover is to close gv. If I do any of the following, gv works fine: cd /tmp; gv thecall.pdf cd /tmp; gv ./thecall.pdf cd /; gv tmp/thecall.pdf cd /; gv ./tmp/thecall.pdf The problem appears to occur only with absolute pathnames. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.12 Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages gv depends on: ii gs-gpl [gs] 8.54.dfsg.1-1 The GPL Ghostscript PostScript int ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-4 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libice6 1:1.0.1-2 X11 Inter-Client Exchange library ii libsm6 1:1.0.1-3 X11 Session Management library ii libx11-6 2:1.0.0-9 X11 client-side library ii libxext6 1:1.0.1-2 X11 miscellaneous extension librar ii libxmu6 1:1.0.2-2 X11 miscellaneous utility library ii libxpm4 1:3.5.5-2 X11 pixmap library ii libxt6 1:1.0.2-2 X11 toolkit intrinsics library ii xaw3dg 1.5+E-14 Xaw3d widget set gv recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
