Package: gnumeric Version: 1.6.3-3 Severity: important
When selecting cells using the mouse, gnumeric brings up a little "tooltip" that gives the cell reference in a little yellow box. Frequently (I don't think it happens every time) that little yellow box remains on the desktop background until you quit gnumeric. It's annoying, because it appears on all workspaces, on the top layer. After a time the entire desktop is littered with them. I think it only happens with mouse selection, and not with arrow key selection, however. I have a screenshot that illustrates the problem, if that's helpful. Some other information. I'm running the out-of-date version of xfree86 with the nvidia binary kernel modules on a two monitor system (though the yellow boxes can happen on either display).
