AFAIK it is a limitation in GTK+. The copy buffer is invalidated when
another jpilot application is selected (because the GTK+ widget is
destroyed or something like that). But the X11 cut-n-paste code changes
recently in J-Pilot so the problem may be in J-Pilot itself.

What you can do is copy in anoter application first and then select from
this other application and copy back in J-Pilot. It is not user friendly
but it is a work around.

I will report the bug upstream.
