Hmm, I have a Powerbook G4 12" with Nvidia card. I can adjust my
brightness just fine right now. But I don't have a /sys/class/backlight
so after I would apply your patch it would stop working, right?
(Haven't actually tested it due to time constraints, though)

Is this because I have one of the nvidia powerbooks or is my kernel too
"old" (default Debian 2.6.17-2-powerpc)?
