I believe upstream chose to build the host part in 32-bit for a reason. If you (or someone else) can confirm this is no longer needed (i.e., grub2 builds, installs and runs), then we should check with upstream to get this check disabled. Otherwise, can we just add lib32ncurses5-dev et al to Build-Depends ? If you can confirm it builds this way, I'd rather do this instead.
