...with the old quotes I had several complaints that the font does not
match the UNICODE/ISO/IEC/WHATEVER_IT_WAS standard. So I posted an
example and a vote on the font site, and for 3 months or so, the new
quotes won with a large difference.

Anyway, the ultimate solution to your dissatisfaction is at
http://www.is-vn.bg/hamster/terminus-font-4.20-gq2.diff.gz - apply,
reinstall and enjoy. Personally I use them as well. There are variants
for a few other characters too.

Anton, it is my policy not to interfere in the work of the package
maintainers (except for bugs and license violations), so as far as the
Debian package is concerned, the choice is entirely yours.
