Package: dsniff
Version: 2.4b1-9
Severity: wishlist

dsniff: provide some tool for agregating dsniff output and remove duplicated
passwords

dsniff prints captured info every time a password is found.
If some mail client is checking mail periodically it will show a lot
of times.
I would like some postprocessing tool for cleaning this output as I just want
to know how many weak passwords and protocols are used and who are the users
that do it so I can suggest some alternative, I am not insterested in how often
do they check their mail.
I suppose making a script that does that with dsniff output could be a simple
task.
Perhaps there could be a better place to do this agregation. (packet level
instead of textual dsniff output).
I think this wishlist item could be a mainstrea wishlist.
