Package: bugs.debian.org
Severity: wishlist

With the versioned BTS, one can use a Pseudo-Header "Version: $foo" in
mails to [EMAIL PROTECTED] However, most of the time when I needed such a
mail (i.e. it was actually closed by an upload, but not in the
changelog) it was when a bug has been reported against the wrong package
or similar. Therefore I end up sending mail like this:

To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Bcc: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Version: 3.2-1
reassign 654321 otherpackage
severity 654321 important
merge 654321 654213
thanks

or instead use close with the version argument, and keep being told that
close is deprecated. Therefore I request that either close be
de-deprecrated by changing the message, or there's some other official
way to versioned-close bugs by e-mail.

Regards, Frank
