I asume that it is in "/etc/X11/app-defaults/XTerm".
There is no such string in it.
Is this after the line:

This has no effect. Or must I restart the whole xserver ?
The manpage tell me, that it is by default "True",
so if it is not set in any XResources it is set
1) I am using Xfree86 v4.3
2) mutt does not restore the title too.
I WOODY with xserver 4.1 and then 4.2 it was working fine
