I'm running KDE. So the drive is making some seeking noise during the pause? Perhaps it is unusually slow seeking for the RS02 headers; in that case please try - selecting "Get image size from (x) Drive" in the "General" tab of preferences; - or adding --query-size=drive when calling the program in command line mode.
