Package: firefox Version: 1.99+2.0b2+dfsg-1 Severity: important I get consistent crashes with firefox, all versions available (1.5 and 2 beta) when surfing to sites that use flash (I tried both the free and non-free plugins). Removing the flash plugin solves the problem (but no flash) and it works perfectly fine in opera (no crashes).
It says that firefox recieves an X-Window System error (following). I have a mach64 card which may be related, with the DRI drivers from cvs (nothing changed in X as the debian version supports DRI), I tried loading X without the DRI drivers but it didn't change anything. I tried debugging as explained but not much useful info: Starting program: /usr/lib/firefox/firefox-bin --sync -a firefox [Thread debugging using libthread_db enabled] [New Thread -1222125888 (LWP 27179)] [New Thread -1223070800 (LWP 27183)] [New Thread -1231459408 (LWP 27184)] [New Thread -1244410960 (LWP 27187)] [New Thread -1252799568 (LWP 27188)] [New Thread -1261188176 (LWP 27189)] [New Thread -1270289488 (LWP 27190)] [New Thread -1279513680 (LWP 27191)] [New Thread -1287902288 (LWP 27192)] [Thread -1287902288 (LWP 27192) exited] [New Thread -1296290896 (LWP 27193)] [Thread -1296290896 (LWP 27193) exited] [New Thread -1296290896 (LWP 27194)] [New Thread -1287902288 (LWP 27196)] [New Thread -1306526800 (LWP 27197)] [New Thread -1314915408 (LWP 27198)] [Thread -1244410960 (LWP 27187) exited] [Thread -1252799568 (LWP 27188) exited] [Thread -1261188176 (LWP 27189) exited] [Thread -1270289488 (LWP 27190) exited] [Thread -1296290896 (LWP 27194) exited] [New Thread -1296290896 (LWP 27221)] [New Thread -1270289488 (LWP 27222)] [New Thread -1252799568 (LWP 27223)] The program 'Gecko' received an X Window System error.
