Package: nfs-common Version: 1:1.0.10-1 Severity: normal
The mount program looks for /var/run/rpc.idmapd.pid to detect if idmapd is running. The init script for nfs-common will start idmapd, but does not invoke it in a way that creates that pid file. Thus all nfs4 mount attempts cause mount to warn that all user ids will be mapped to the anonymous one. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.17.13-van1 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages nfs-common depends on: ii adduser 3.97 Add and remove users and groups ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-4 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libcomerr2 1.39-1 common error description library ii libevent1 1.1a-1 An asynchronous event notification ii libgssapi2 0.10-3 A mechanism-switch gssapi library ii libkrb53 1.4.4~beta1-1 MIT Kerberos runtime libraries ii libnfsidmap1 0.16-3 An nfs idmapping library ii librpcsecgss3 0.14-2 allows secure rpc communication us ii lsb-base 3.1-15 Linux Standard Base 3.1 init scrip ii portmap 5-20 The RPC portmapper ii sysvinit 2.86.ds1-15 System-V-like init utilities ii ucf 2.0014 Update Configuration File: preserv nfs-common recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
