Many/tons of thanks for your work on this, Patrick. I'm not personnally in the poisition nor have the skills to decide about your patch, but probably other samba pkg team members, namely Peter Eisentraut, Noel Köthe (who are also working in a BSP this week-end) and Steve Lan,gasek, will certainly take the good decision about this bug. The only request is to please delay a possible NMU. We have many changes pending in the SVN and re-merging stuff from a NMU would make things more complicated. If no sign of life comes from my fellow co-maintainers, I'll apply your patch and will build a new package with it and other pending stuff in a few days...but I bet that something will happen before.
