It does not show that info by default, and it does not show it in the description column. If i am on a local/obsolote package it prints "package - no description available". Which it is clearly wrong, since pressing "i" will show me the description. So it should be "for your inconvinience we do not show the description you would expect here until you press <i>". Fine with me :) Sorry I dont understand the technical issues which arise from showing that info, I am just a user who would expect that info and find it helpfull (if I would actually use dselect).
