the classpath in debian/rules is incorrect as pointed out previously. though looking at the NullPointerException that follows, it seems that libant1.6-java is not to blame, sablevm-classlib is. I filed #299121 against libsablevm-classlib1-java about this problem. I am working on a workaround for libant in the meantime. Hopefully, I'll have something soon.
