I get something similar. I don't think it's an upstream problem. I attached a screenshot of the palette window as it displays on my computer. However, I expected that window to look like: http://wxglade.sourceforge.net/img/palette.png
RESOLUTION: I downloaded latest wxglade from sourcefource and copied the 'icons' directory within the tarball to /usr/share/pycentral/python-wxglade/site-packages/wxglade/icons and the package is now working as expected..
