Hello, I have noticed this bug after installing a linux-image-2.6.17-2-686 on Etch.
The system was booting very well on a 2.6.15 kernel that also broke after the upgrade to 2.6.17-2-686 On both kernels, the same errors as discribed below in earlier posts. For every partition a wrong UUID where mdadm can't open them and turns into a Kernel Panic. Because of this fact I was not able to post some logs because the system can't write after the reboot to the MD's. mdadm -V gives me a 2.5.2 version.
