Package: ucf
Version: 1.14
Severity: minor

Hi,

when the debconf database becomes corrupted (for example if the
ucf/foo stanzes disappear from /var/cache/debconf/config.dat), ucf
errors out at the db_fset ucf/changeprompt seen false command because
debconf says "ucf/changeprompt doesn't exist".

dpkg-reconfigure does seem to have some magic which automatically
re-installs the stanzas with the warning "debconf: warning: possible
database corruption. Will attempt to repair by adding back missing
question foo/bar."

It would be nice if ucf could do the same.

Greetings
Marc
