Package: riece Version: 3.1.0-1 Severity: important Hello!
When doing a clean sarge to etch upgrade, the file /etc/emacs/site-start.d/50riece.el trigger a spurious dpkg conffile handling Configuration file `/etc/emacs/site-start.d/50riece.el' ==> Modified (by you or by a script) since installation. ==> Package distributor has shipped an updated version. What would you like to do about it ? Your options are: Y or I : install the package maintainer's version N or O : keep your currently-installed version D : show the differences between the versions Z : background this process to examine the situation The default action is to keep your current version. This is due in a RC bug in sarge riece package : it modify the conffiles through debconf: it add: ;; Don't touch manually the following line which is modified by debconf. ;; If you want to customize add-ons, use `dpkg-reconfigure'. and some elisp code. (This was also a debconf abuse). One way to fix the breakage is delete the file /etc/emacs/site-start.d/50riece.el in the preinst script if it match the unmodified sarge version + the debconf adjustement at least if the user picked the default option. When choosing the default options, I get a file /etc/emacs/site-start.d/50riece.el with md5sum 88a9f96e8f0c942cd938eaf10c37faec Cheers, -- Bill. <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Imagine a large red swirl here. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
