Package: asciidoc
Version: 7.1.2-1
Severity: normal

i noticed trailing '.sp' characters when i used asciidoc to create some
man pages. so i tried to do the same with the asciidoc.1.txt file, and
the same problem resulted:

a2x -f manpage asciidoc.1.txt

produced a asciidoc.1 manpage with output:

SYNOPSIS
       asciidoc [OPTIONS] FILE.sp

there are several other occurances of the trailing '.sp' characters,
too.

this problem doesn't appear with the manpage included with the asciidoc
package, so i suspect it likely has to do with changes(or bugs) in other
tools.

installed on my system:

xmlto 0.0.18-5
docbook-xsl 1.70.1.dfsg.1-0.2

live well,
