Package: module-assistant
Followup-For: Bug #367976

I get the same build error as Jann Kleen reported, but WITHOUT using
'module-assistant':

    root [VT] /usr/src/modules/nvidia-kernel-legacy>debian/rules binary_modules

Except the package I compiled was 'nvidia-kernel-legacy'. Here's the
last dozen or so lines:

nv.c:3344: warning: pointer targets in passing argument 6 of
'rm_alloc_agp_pages' differ in signedness
    nv.c: In function 'nv_agp_init':
nv.c:3711: error: too few arguments to function 'agp_backend_acquire'
nv.c:3713: error: too few arguments to function 'agp_backend_release'
    nv.c: In function 'nvos_count_devices':
nv.c:3851: warning: assignment makes pointer from integer without a cast
nv.c:3856: warning: assignment makes pointer from integer without a cast
    nv.c: In function 'lowmem_page_address':
/usr/include/linux/mm.h:519: warning: control reaches end of non-void
function
    make[1]: *** [nv.o] Error 1
    make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/modules/nvidia-kernel-legacy/nv'
    make: *** [build-stamp] Error 2

Note that I haven't tried compiling it with 'm-a' yet, but would expect
to see the same error. So the bug doesn't seem to be in
'module-assistant' as such... maybe the compiler has changed?

Hope this helps...
