Package: libpam-chroot Severity: normal Hi,
when reading /usr/share/doc/libpam-chroot/options, I scratched my head wondering what the actual, unmentioned, difference between "notfound" and "onerr" is. A look at the source revealed that there indeed is no difference whatsoever, which I think should be mentioned in the documentation. Also, I think the current text is rather vague if not misleading. These options are not about whether or not the chroot dir "can be determined" but rather about whether or not a chroot dir is specified in the config. Particularly given the option name "onerr", one might be mislead to think that it also applies if the file could not be read for whatever reason - after all, in this case the chroot dir could not be determined, either. I'd suggest the following text: | notfound=(success|failure) and | onerr=(succeed|fail) - These two options have the exactly same effect (and | override each other), so you probably want to specify only one of | them. They specify what to return in the case that no chroot | directory is specified for the current user in the chroot.conf. | "success" or "succeed", respectively, cause PAM_SUCCESS to be | returned, while "failure" or "fail" cause PAM_SESSION_ERR to be | returned. The default is to return PAM_SUCCESS. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.16.1 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=de_DE (charmap=ISO-8859-1) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
