Severity: normal Package: hurd Version: 20060825-2 After upgrading hurd from 20050513-4 to 20060825-2, /servers/socket/2 is now messed up.
Before upgrade: ls -l /servers/socket total 8 crw-r--r-- 1 root root 0, 0 Dec 21 2005 1 crw-r--r-- 1 root root 0, 0 Sep 10 02:46 2 lrwxr-xr-x 1 root root 1 Dec 21 2005 inet -> 2 lrwxr-xr-x 1 root root 1 Dec 21 2005 local -> 1 After upgrade: ls -l /servers/socket total 4 ?--------- ? ? ? ? ? /servers/socket/2 crw-r--r-- 1 root root 0, 0 Dec 21 2005 1 lrwxr-xr-x 1 root root 1 Dec 21 2005 inet -> 2 lrwxr-xr-x 1 root root 1 Dec 21 2005 local -> 1 This installation is on qemu-0.8.2. Before the upgrade, networking worked; after it doesn't, with the message of a dying translator. I have tried various settrans commands to bring back socket 2, but to no avail. Merely *unpacking* version 20050513-4 fixes the socket, at which point networking works again. Thanks! -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
