Package: inkscape Severity: normal
>From http://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-relationships.html#s-binarydeps Recommends This declares a strong, but not absolute, dependency. The Recommends field should list packages that would be found together with this one in all but unusual installations. Suggests This is used to declare that one package may be more useful with one or more others. Using this field tells the packaging system and the user that the listed packages are related to this one and can perhaps enhance its usefulness, but that installing this one without them is perfectly reasonable. To the best of my knowledge, the dia | dia-gnome and skencil applications are NOT found together with inkscape "in all but unusual installations". Therefore these packages should NOT be in the Recommends field. They should either be in the Suggests field, in the Description field as a `see also' note, or not listed at all. I believe this bug is NOT a duplicate of #328423, because that bug discusses libraries and support utilities that enhance Inkscape; this bug concerns with APPLICATIONS that merely support the data file format as Inkscape. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Kernel: Linux 2.6.15-1-686-smp Locale: LANG=en_AU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_AU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
