The hpijs driver supports hundreds of printers: http://www.linuxprinting.org/show_driver.cgi?driver=hpijs
Looking at the code it looks like it will accept any printer with manufacturer id 0x03f0 (and only printers with that id). Also, network devices can be detected via multicast address 224.0.1.60, port 427, although you need to send a specially formed packet.
