Package: mysql-server-5.0 Version: 5.0.24-3 Followup-For: Bug #368547 The bug #360031 contains stack trace from syslog and relates to this problem. Actually, turning binary logging off doesn't help and logrotate scripts installed by default issues mysqladmin flush-logs command which results in mysql server crash. May be logrotating should be turned off until the bug will be fixed in upstream or by maintainer.
