Package: grub Version: 0.97-14 Severity: normal Hi,
When upgrading to the latest version of GRUB, I got the following message: grub (0.97-14) unstable; urgency=low grub-install and update-grub has change location. There's a wrapper available in /sbin to keep backward compatibility but it'll be remove once Etch is release as stable. You _must_ edit your /etc/kernel-img.conf and remove the full paths from it. I believe this configuration file was created by d-i, right? So a default sarge system will have an incorrect configuration. I think grub's postinst should automatically correct the config file then. Forcing users to modify configuration files they haven't touched before is not very user-friendly. Note that kernel-img.conf is not a conffile and does not belong to a particular package. Oh, and BTW, README.Debian still has the wrong instructions regarding the path to update-grub. -- Pelle -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
