hi everyone, i have managed to put some code together that does the client-side stuff in c, so we can perhaps use it in apt at some point in the future. right now the code is a bit rough at the edges, but it basically works. i will continue to clean it up, but i would like to get some feedback too. so please have a look! code is at http://www.semistable.com/files/apt-cqupdate-20050310.tar.gz
