1) I can confirm that *purging* the ntp-* packages removes the ntp user and group. I don't have logs but after the purge the ntp user and group are no longer there.
2) I believe the adduser line in the (new) ntp package will only add an ntp group, not an ntp user. This is according to my understanding of the adduser man page. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
