Sorry, Alexander, reportbug was supposed to attach my original bug report from /tmp but didn't: Whenever I upgrade and then re-start thunderbird, it complains that the current locale does not correspond to the current version of TB. We all know this is not true and can fix this by a simple # aptitude reinstall thunderbird-locale-de but this is annoying. Please update both packages at the same time or make thunderbird depend on the corresponding locale version right away. Best regards, André
