Package: convertfs
Version: 20050113-1
I have been running the "devremap" stage of convertfs for two days now, and it says it is currently relocationg a block group at 1030190. Looking at the source code and a hex dump of the partition, the convertfs superblock on my 250GB partition says that the block size is 0x1000 bytes. So this represents about 4 gigabytes worth of block remapping so far. If this speed holds, I can expect to wait approximately *four months* before I see any of my data again. (It's not critical, but would be inconvenient to lose.)
If I am misinterpreting the data then please let me know, but if I am right then I would very much like to inquire if this process can be optimized.
