Comments/Problems:
Installation hangs after you select the keyboard lang. and locality,
with a blue screen, black box in the lower left hand corner. This
happens with any HP server using iLO 2 (integrated lights out version 2)
Switching to virtual terminal 2, cat /var/log/syslog, there are tons of
events like:
....
usb 5-2: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 81
hub 5-2:1.0: USB hub found
hub 5-2:1.0: 7 ports detected
usb 5-1: USB disconnect, address 80
usb 5-1: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 82
input: HP Virtual Keyboard as /class/input/input4992
input: USB HID v1.01 Keyboard [HP Virtual Keyboard] on usb-0000:01:04.4-1
input: HP Virtual Keyboard as /class/input/input4993
input: USB HID v1.01 Mouse [HP Virtual Keyboard] on usb-0000:01:04.4-1
usb 5-2: USB disconnect, address 81
...
If I 'modprobe -r uhci_hcd' , the installer gets a bit farther and then
hangs again, when it attempts to detect USB disks in the lead up to partman.
This issue is known to be fixed in the 2.6.17 kernel.
