Package: nvidia-graphics-drivers Followup-For: Bug #292543 If this release, 6629, is going to be included with a stable Sarge, a warning message for those who are using an older GPU (TNT, TNT2, old GeForce) should be included in the Description and possibly in the pre-install scripts...
This message should be something like: This version of the NVIDIA binary driver does not work for TNT, TNT2 and GeForce <= 4 based videocards. If you are going to use this driver with one of the listed GPUs, use version 6111. Including a warning like this will save a lot of time and frustration. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.10p2 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to [EMAIL PROTECTED]) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
