gettext-base was upgraded to important in etch (in the override file) to follow the rule saying "packages should not depend on other of lower priority values". However, no such package of important priority has a dependency on gettext-base anymore in etch, and even it that was the case, such dependency would be undesired, as I don't think life should be more difficult for people doing embedded systems (who probably would like to have a base system without gettext). Therefore, please, downgrade gettext-base to standard, as it is in sarge. Thanks.
