Hi, I repeated the dfsbuild and after the error exit, I chrooted to the target directory. Then I mounted /proc before executing /etc/init.d/samba start and it worked like a charm, no error anymore.
I think that mounting /proc before starting the installation/configuration process would also solve the samba install error if it was implemented into dfsbuild.
