Package: mdadm Version: 2.5.2-10 Severity: important As subject says, mdadm fails to update when not using udev.
It seems the symlink creation in postinst needs to check not only if a symlink exists, but also if the target of the symlink exists. To be honest, I stumbled into this issue using a hacked backport of mdadm that does not include /etc/udev/mdadm.rules (because dh_udev is unavailable in sarge) - so I might be wrong, but looking at the postinst code, it seems to fail even if that file did exist: Package does not depend on udev providing the directory /etc/udev/rules.d/ required to make the symlink. - Jonas -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: powerpc (ppc) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.17-2-powerpc Locale: LANG=da_DK.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=da_DK.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
