I'm having a hard time understanding why this bug was lowered to a
severity of "normal". The addition of the -e switch to the dhclient
invocation utterly changes the behavior of application.
I believe the severity of this bug should be increased to "important",
at a minimum, as it has the potential for rendering a remote system
completely inaccessible unexpectedly. By this same reasoning a case
could be made for the severity being "critical".
While this bug can be worked around simply by installing the
dhcp3-client package, it is not an obvious solution to the problem.
