reassign 375194 linux-image-2.6.17-2-powerpc thanks Just reassigning the bug to the new package hoping that it won't be forgotten or closed accidentially... With this new image the problem is the same as described in the initial message of this bug.
It seems that everybody else on -powerpc is having similar issues and actually support of OldWorld Macs is under question for Etch. Aurélien GÉRÔME sheds some light advising that the possible solution would be to use miboot when it is ready. -- I had a low opinion of TCL, basically because it wasn't Lisp. --RMS
