No, changing the boot device parameter doesn't fix this - at least I
changed the parameter in the grub UI (I had already tried this before,
but just tried again to verify this) - if changing it in the grub config
file, and then re-running update-grub will change what modules are
loaded, then I can try to boot by some other means, and try this.
Please say if this is worth trying. Additionally, I can net-boot the
machine, and update a package, if there is suspected to be a fix in a
package which is currently in unstable etc...
Any suggestions welcome.
Also, I wasn't really sure what the "Version: 1.65" referred to in the
previous post - it didn't seem to be either the grub, or initramfs-tools
packages.
Once again - it doesn't look like the dac960 driver module is being
loaded....
