Indeed, it does. It only happens with alsa output - with oss, it works just fine. > If you try with another xine frontend, is the bug still present ? It doesn't happen with gxine but I didn't look at the code so I have no idea whether they managed the whole thing in some other way. I would still recommend to set the steps to 3, as this seems to fix the issue and I can't think of any negative implications. Regards Stefan
