My problem is, that outgoing From: header are not rewriten. Now I have arround 80 Servers which send all messages as root... What I like to see is, that I can specify a From: E-mail, to determiner from which Server it comes, without greping received Headers which is a little bit difficult in WebMail... So I had changed apt-listchanges to accept a config option "email_from" in addition to "email_address". Since apt-listchanges is written in Python, it can easyly added. Please note, that I code only C, ASM, PHP, Tcl, Pascal and Cobol and I have no clue about Python, but was able to add this functionality... ;-) I do not know, how good it was, but it do the job. I think, I should buy a book about coding Python...
