I cannot reproduce this with nagios2. What I tried: - install nagios2 (2.5-0) and nagios-plugins - touch /etc/nagios-plugins/imap.cfg - add an IMAP service to localhost: /etc/nagios2/conf.d/localhost_nagios2.cfg define service { use generic-service host_name localhost service_description IMAP check_command check_imap } - Start nagios My nagios correctly reports this service as DOWN. Can you please check whether the issue can still be reproduced with nagios 2.5?
