Bug#348373: portmap hangs

I have the same problem. With the network running, pmap_dump takes about 
5 minutes to run, and it takes about the same time to login through 
gnome or shutdown. Etch on an IBM x30, with a Cisco aeronet 350 MiniPCI 
wireless net adapter.
